Final design: "Mother Nature"

ARTIST STATEMENT

My title for this “Type Expression” assignment is “Mother Nature”. The reason why I choosed this concept because I do love nature and I want to apply this concept for my idea to tell the people that without tress which is it is very related to the mother nature, we can’t breath very well because the oxygen is came from the trees and natural environment in the world will not balanced. So that our life will not balanced. Nowadays, there are a lot of work cut forest logging for erection of buildings and residential areas. Thus, rainfall areas, habitats of wild animals is decreasing. In fact, there’s a lot of disadvantages if we neglect the responsibility to protect our mother nature. The message behind my artwork is let us together take care and keep of our natural environment that is increasingly reduced for the common good and for the future.

ARTWORK TREATMENT

Basically for this assignment, I’m create my artwork, “Mother Nature” using adobe photoshop cs5. I’m using the alphabet “ L “ and “ i “ using ‘sakura’ font and I’m using size font, 400pt. Why I’m using alphabet “ L “ from ‘sakura’ font because when I’m searched one by one font, it is not fit with the character that can be represented as a tree trunk and I’m using the same font for “ i “ but I’m just took title of “ i “ for represent as a the leaves. I’m using the colour of brown to represent as tree trunk. While I’m using the green colour for the title “ i “ is to represent as the leaves. The light blue colour represent as the water because it is related to the mother nature. Without water, the tress can’t survive and tress do not grow. And lastly, I’m using the light green colour as the background colour to represent as the natural environment and serenity.
