Artist Statement
For
the output of this assignment, I decided to do it using stop motion method. I
took a lot of photos/footages as the input for my video. I created the story
line as my daily life routine from I woke up from sleep, prepared myself to go to
class, meet my friends and other things until I back home. So basically, for
the first segment (MONDAY), I wear the red shoes, meet up a friend, shake hand
him with him and he shows the data through his shirt; and change to the second
segment (THURSDAY) also i change the shoes as well, I wear a black shoes and walk
around and meet with another person. He give me a board which is got the data
on it and I took it and walked into the bush; change to the last segment
(SUNDAY), I wear the blue shoes. Walked out from the bush to the beach sand and
the data come out from the sand.
The
reason why I change my shoes and places in each segments is to differentiate
the day in the video. In addition, I’m used the various of ways to deliver the
data to the viewers, for example; I’m used a white shirt to show the data for
MONDAY, a board for THURSDAY’s data and some kind of like writing on the sand
for SUNDAY’s data. The reason is, I want to create a difference mood in delivering
information and approach to the viewers.
